Uniform: Life In Remission

Production: Neuplot for Sacred Bones
Director: A.F. Cortés

This concept draws inspiration from Viennese Actionism, using chaos and the body as tools of communication. It's a story of deconstruction through ritual and action, depicting the downfall of two friends from a visceral and perverse perspective, exploring themes of betrayal and denial. Visually reminiscent of abstract expressionism and Francis Bacon's paintings, the video is set in a dirty yet predominantly white space. It follows Berdan, shirtless and seated, as an unknown man manipulates his face with clay-like material. As the narrative unfolds, humanity is lost, culminating in a grotesque transformation. Berdan's doppelgänger, Michael, emerges, representing denial and detachment. The scene becomes increasingly distressing as Berdan's struggle intensifies, ultimately ending in resignation and disfigurement.
