We are a cross-platform creative studio for today’s screen-agnostic world. 

Design thinking is at the core of what we do. We create stories that navigate multiple regions and platforms to connect audiences with content and brands. We are a team of global creators, with offices in New York and Bogotá, working at the intersection of storytelling, advertising, culture and technology.

Our projects range from scripted TV series, digital documentaries and branded entertainment to photography, design and commercials. We are truly eclectic by nature. 

THE FOUNDERS: 

 
 

A.F. CORTÉS: the creative

New York City-based multidisciplinary artist in the fields of screenwriting, directing, design and photography. He is a co-founder of NEUPLOT, a content creation and production studio. Consummate music lover, you will find him shooting intimate shows in small dives and established bands in big arenas or directing his most recent project, REHEARSAL SPACE, a music documentary series that explores the creative process of iconic musicians. The first episode features Lee Ranaldo from Sonic Youth. 

He is the creator, producer and head writer of KID PAMBELÉ, an 80-episode scripted epic drama based on the infamous life of legendary boxing world champion Antonio Cervantes. Prior to this, Cortés produced, co-wrote and directed “MANIFESTO!” – a lifestyle and fashion transmedia TV show produced by Turner Television.

Cortés was also a co-founder and creative director of The Vox Collective, one of the top 25 multicultural advertising agencies in the U.S. In 2012, after 10 years in the business, he sold his stake of the company and facilitated the successful merger with British advertising group Profero, now part of Lowe + Partners.

As a filmmaker, he directs TV series, music videos, art installations and TV commercials for clients such as Post Foods, Pfizer, Macys, MTV, Konami, Pepsi among many others. 

Cortés has received much recognition for his work and won many awards in the industry. He was a member of the jury at the London International Advertising, his photography has been featured on album covers, as part of the promotion of many artists and in publications like The Guardian, Rolling Stone, New York magazine, Nakid, Photo District News, Complex and Lüzer Archive, among others. He is a frequent speaker and panelist at universities and industry events around the globe.

DRE BLACKWELL: the producer

Creative Producer with extensive experience working in the development and production of documentaries, TV series, multi-platform content, commercials, and branded entertainment. Dre works with like-minded collaborators to produce and create content for all media platforms via well-crafted stories or fully-integrated media campaigns.

Originally from Colombia, Dre began his career in post-production at the multi-award winning Cut+Run after graduating from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City. There he assisted on commercials for Brand Jordan, Johnny Walker, Verizon Wireless, and "The Worlds Greatest Music Stores," a branded entertainment documentary for Nokia directed by Wim Wenders featuring music legend David Bowie. Flush with experience Dre went onto co-produce “Alicia In Africa,” a streaming documentary featuring Alicia Keys honored by The Academy of Digital Arts and Science at the Webby Awards. The documentary also broadcast in the United Kingdom on Channel 4 UK. Blackwell also produced “Keep a Child Alive with Alicia Keys,” a trans-media documentary sponsored by CoverGirl for air on Showtime.

Dre’s latest work includes the TV series “Pambelé” based on the bestseller “El Oro y La Oscuridad,” the digital documentary "Rehearsal Space" featuring Lee Ranaldo co-founder of the alternative rock band Sonic Youth, and media campaigns for Honey Bunches of Oats, Fox Sports, Heelys, Evian, Amazon Alexa, and Pfizer.
